LEONA LEWIS:
MTV Staying Alive Ambassador
Kiehl’s has teamed up with MTV Staying Alive to empower and educate the new generation.
This year, MTV Staying Alive has joined forces with multi-award-winning singer, Leona Lewis.
Her support comes at a pivotal time in the fight against HIV/AIDS, when millions of young people are at risk of infection and millions more face barriers to their sexual and reproductive health.
LIMITED EDITION EYE CREAM:
Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado
Our most popular eye cream doesn’t stop at avocado!
Through our partnership with MTV Staying Alive, Leona has created a limited edition of our Creamy Eye Treatment to drive positive change.
£10 from every product sold (up to 4000 units) will go directly to equipping young people with the information and skills they need to prevent HIV and AIDS.
OUR CHARITY PARTNERSHIP:
Striving for a world where no young person contracts HIV or dies from AIDS
Kiehl’s: A history of giving.
AIDS is the second biggest killer of young people worldwide. For more than 165 years, Kiehl’s has been making a positive impact on the local communities it serves. Our philanthropic mission includes furthering research on HIV/AIDS, working to resolve environmental issues and promoting children's well-being while staying committed to local communities.
MTV Staying Alive: A shared vision.
Thanks to our shared goal, our partnership is now in its third year. By supporting grass-roots, youth-led initiatives, MTV Staying Alive Foundation is driving positive change to empower and educate young people worldwide.
EMPOWERING AND EDUCATING:
What we achieved together in 2016
more than
90

over
9400

more than
1400
people tested
ONWARDS AND UPWARDS:
In 2017, Kiehl’s will continue to help MTV Staying Alive support 37 youth-led projects in 25 countries just like:
Bakashana: The women saying goodbye to statistics
Bakashana Basambilile (Let the Young Women Learn) is a female-led organisation based in northern Zambia, a country where traditional practices still affect the sexual health and rights of many girls. Supported by MTV Staying Alive, Bakashana runs an HIV awareness campaign that incorporates Zambia’s culture and tradition to spread a positive message.
Love Prize: Rocking their way to recovery
Love Prize in Rwanda aims to teach young female sex workers about HIV and STIs and how to avoid infection. The unique youth-led organisation is using an innovative approach to HIV education—they are using Zumba, and other types of dance, to teach vulnerable young women about HIV.
Circus Zambia: Bringing together young people
Circus Zambia is a youth led organisation working in townships and marginalised communities in Zambia. They use circus performances and acrobatics as a tool to engage and inform young people. Their MTV Staying Alive project 'Crown for Condom' uses circus performances to educate young people about HIV and sexual health in a fun and engaging way.
