The Mission of Kiehl's states that we are "to improve in some way the quality of the community... making for better citizens, better firms, and better communities." To that end, we focus our efforts first and foremost on the betterment of our local communities by focusing our philanthropic endeavors on the needs and concerns of their citizens.
Through "Kiehl's Gives," we take a grassroots approach to help local teams focus on three key causes in their communities: the environment, children's well-being, and LGBTQ+ causes. To date, we have partnered with over 50 charities worldwide.
KIEHL'S x Just Like Us
Making schools a more-welcoming place for LGBT+ students
We have partnered with Just Like Us in 2020. Just Like Us empowers LGBT+ young people to champion equality and inclusion within schools and equips them, their teachers and straight/cisgender peers with the skills, knowledge and confidence to make their schools more supportive places where everyone can thrive. To celebrate our partnership, Just Like Us Ambassador, Jay, has created a Limited Edtion Design for our Ultra Facial Cream, with £10 of every pot going directly to the charity. Kiehl’s has pledged to donate £20,000 through the sales of this Limited Edition Design Ultra Facial Cream to Just Like Us*.
*Kiehl’s UK & Ireland will donate £10 to Just Like Us for each purchase of a Limited Edition x Just Like Us Ultra Facial Cream (50ml), up to a maximum of £20,000. Just Like Us is a registered charity in England & Wales - #1165194
Kiehl’s x MTV Staying Alive
Furthering research on HIV/AIDS in local communities
Kiehl’s have partnered with MTV Staying Alive for over 5 years. We have collaborated to create limited edition design products, with money being donated for every pot sold. Our Kiehl’s Skincare Experts have raised money in their local stores and as of 2020, we have raised over £400k for the partnership. This money has gone towards great initiatives like Young Queer Alliance in Mauritius and Public Health Ambassadors in Uganda.
